Man In the Mirror

I decided to paint a painting for the January project for About painting. Below is the link to see it. Click on the title Man in the Mirror above to go to the site and view the gallery that has my painting in it. Click on the title above which is Man In teh Mirror and the link will link you there. That is kind of star trek or star wars. Kind of cool.

Dear Shea

Thanks for sharing your painting, which I've just added to the January Painting Project Gallery. See http://painting.about.com/od/submissiongallery/ig/project-limited-colors/ppLtdCol-SHolliman.htm .

Teapot

This is an 8x10 acrylic still life that I did this morning. I am kind of fascinated by this teapot and may do several more paintings of it, although in different variations.
Click on the Teapot title above to bid.

burnin wax sculpture

This is an abstract wax sculpture that I did that was really more of an accident than a deliberate sculpture.
Click the burnin wax sculpture title to bid.

American Genius Studio

This is some stuff in my studio. Ok, it's an old building, or garage, that is in disrepair, but it makes a great studio and workshop.

old building

This is a small oil painting that I did last summer. This is a painting of a small old building that I think was once a chicken house.

Painting of the Girl

This is acrylic too. What do you think?

This painting nearly caused a fight. "Are you painting me?" "ahhhh..., not really"
etc, I already had the sketch down, so I finished it from that.
"I hate it when you do that" so be careful, sometimes painting can be dangerous.

This Is How I've Been Feeling Lately: Blue Thursday Morning

Here are some more pictures of the same painting. I got all the html codes confused so be sure to scroll down to the bottom to read my post and see the sketch or click just click above to bid. Thanks.

This is the sketch I was doing to get the image down for this one before I added the colors.
This is the painting. I may redo this post later today if the sun is good and get a better picture. The pictures always turn out better with real light. I painted this on canvas with acrylics. This is kind of a self portrait, but it is about feelings, expression, more than a realistic likeness. Blue Thursday Morning.
After talking with my confidant and my confidant's musings I have listed Blue Thursday Morning on Ebay. I put a reserve price of one hundred dollars on it. I enclosed the link above. Click the title and go there.

Wintertime Trees

I also did this one. IT is a stretched canvas. Not too big, not too small. I was experimenting with painting with the same paint as the post below. It wasn't meant to be quite as abstract as it turned out to be. Painting the trees in the evening as the sun and light were dying, the paint ran somewhat. If nothing else it is interesting I suppose.
I don't think I have ever mentioned this before, but if anyone is interested in purchasing original art from me, then feel free to contact me.
I'll be making another post later, and probably a lot this week with new art and perhaps some pictures of some a little older that I have in the AGS.

Drip Painting

It was warm today, so I went out into what I like to call the American Genius Studio.
I was messing around with the painting today; Dripping white and black oil housepaint on canvas. I think that I am done with it, but I am not for sure yet. Also I haven't decided which way it should be hung. It is abstract, so it has four ways it could go.

They Dance

I painted this yesterday after watching a movie about Dancing. I watched the movie Step Up. A really good movie. I can't decide if I like it or if I don't. Any opinions? Acrylic on Canvas in case you were wondering, and yes, I haven't signed it yet, because upon the Dr.s advice, I am experimenting with neater signatures.

Shadow

This is a painting I did around a year ago. It is kind of small at about 5x5. Acrylic on canvas. I listed this on ebay also for seven days. Click above if you want to find out more about it and also see more pictures or even bid to purchase it. Kind of new at selling my art, so you probably would get a "steal."

Some More of My Paintings and drawings

Picassa Collage Of Eddie Vedder

This is a collage I did on Picassa of my drawing and a picture of Eddie Vedder. I think that this looks pretty cool.
I've been having some fun with this; learning how to use photo software. Eddie Vedder Rocks.
